About Me

My user journey
Hi, I’m Jorge Cisneros. I came to Canada from Peru to study Graphic Design and later earned a Bachelor’s in Advertising. I’ve always loved visual storytelling and strategy, which led me to a part-time design job during school. By the time I graduated, I had four years of experience—but instead of landing in art direction, I discovered UX. It blended everything I enjoy: design, research, and human-centred thinking.
I’m naturally drawn to simplifying everyday tasks—forms, long queues, confusing systems. I often think, “There has to be a better way.” Maybe it’s laziness or curiosity, but I believe design should make life easier.
Outside of work, I enjoy soccer, cooking, and the occasional deep dive into YouTube rabbit holes with my daughter. I also took stand-up comedy classes before the pandemic—just to try something different and have fun with observational humour.

My Experience
I’ve spent over 10 years designing for digital—starting with marketing campaigns, websites, and ad creatives. That foundation sharpened my eye for detail and taught me how to communicate ideas visually and quickly.
At Curbngo, I shifted into product design, working on Point-of-Sale systems, kitchen screens, and admin tools for restaurants. I helped build a design system and focused on making workflows faster and easier for staff in high-pressure settings.
Now, I design with one goal in mind: make things intuitive and human. Whether I’m mapping flows or polishing UI, I’m always looking for smarter ways to help users get things done.
